The conventional methods in fluorite ore sorting mainly include hand separation, gravity separation and flotation.   • First it can replace conventional hand separation,sorting above 0.5cm high purity fluorite concentrate and tailing through characteristics difference to increase procession capacity of fluorite ores;
  • The economic value of the block ore concentrate is higher than fine powder after flotation,this high block ore concentrate can be sorted by optical sorting machine and then entered the flotation to increase the overall economic value of the fluorite ore.
  • The conventional fluorite sorting methods are hand-selection,gravity separation and flotation.Hand selection is used for large block ores,gravity used for presorting of metallurgical block ores and flotation,flotation is used in the production of high grade concentrate for the chemical and ceramic industry.
  • For the fluorite ore with low average grade, the waste rock in it is pre-discarded by sorting to improve the grade of the fluorite ore, reduce the amount of flotation ore and save flotation cost.
  • The content of calcium carbonate in some fluorite ores is high,after entering the flotation process,the similar flotation properties of calcium carbonate and fluorite inhibit the collection of flotation agents on fluorite concentrate, resulting in an increase in flotation cost, but the collection of fluorite fine powder after flotation is lower than the conventional level.This kind of fluorite ore can reduce the calcium carbonate content and save production cost by optical sorting and pre-discarded the ores with high calcium carbonate content.

 

How to reduce high content of calcium carbonate in fluorite ore?

For eg. in a case of sorting fluorite ore with calcium carbonate content more than 10%,and the calcium carbonate in the sorted fluorite ore is reduced to about 1.0%.The artificial intelligence sorting machine is used to establish a sorting model sort based on the charactrists difference between calcium carbonate and fluorite ore.In the sorting process,high calcium carbonate fluorite ore is thrown to ensure the purpose to reduce calcium carbonate content in fluorite concentrate after sorting.
